A Wedding Reception At The KDCA

This afternoon I attended a wedding reception at the KDCA (Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association). There were a number of advantages to hold the reception there ...

... Firstly, many and easy parking for the guests.

The Happy Couple awaits ...

... the reception line in their traditional finery ...

Secondly, the free seating; both "downstairs" ...

... and "upstairs".

Thirdly, by joining the queue for food and drinks on this side of the hall, you get all the non-halal stuff (pork and alcohol!). The halal food and drinks were on the other side of the hall. Again another great thing about Sabah.

The only "sit-down" table in the hall.

Getting ready for the Kadazan Vows ceremony (though the cake was western?).

A very nice mural (of the countryside and Mt Kinabalu) on the wall to the side of the KDCA ...

... unfortunately, not in pristine condition (perhaps time for a full touch up?).
