The Chinese Lunar New Year for 2012 fell on 23 January 2012 and the "celebrations" extends to the Fifteenth Day (Chap Goh Meh in Hokkien). But nowadays the festivities are generally more muted and for us the holidays consisted of a few good meals and some visits to our close relatives. The photos taken during these festivities are private. Some of the interesting elements (the fruit is a type of pomelo) have been blended into the composite photo above.
