On the 24th morning, I woke up to a cloudless sky over Mt Kinabalu at just before sunrise (6.14 am).
The satellite photo (http://weather.is.kochi-u.ac.jp/SE/00Latest.jpg shows the current view) showed no significant cloud cover over Sabah; thus the really HOT few days.
Continuing to zoom in with the telephoto lens converter ...
... to the closest view.
Mt Kinabalu is still a great feature for Kota Kinabalu.
