Borneo International Marathon 2010

The Borneo International Marathon 2010 is on this morning (2 May 2010). It's 9.46 AM as I write this, and their website has a count-down clock which says it's 13 hrs and 13 minutes to the event! They should fix that "bug" for their next event.


I took the photos at Distance Marker 29 KM (in front of the entrance to Sutera Harbour Resort).


Are they allowed to call it "Borneo" when its held in Kota Kinabalu? Afterall, Borneo have Sarawak, Brunei, and Indonesian Kalimantan, besides Sabah. The Marathon has different categories; including a half-distance run and a fun run for kids (and those not-so-fit-as-to-complete-a-marathon).

Anyway, it should be fun running on a very nice sunny day under the moon in Kota Kinabalu.

Sutera Harbour Marina & Country Club

On the way home, we made one last stop at Sutera Harbour Marina & Country Club. Apparently my daughter's photography class assignment included an attempt to "stop" the waterfall there.



While she did her assignment, I wandered around looking for some good shots, but my camera battery said "Time's Up, Buddy" after this last shot.



Kota Kinabalu - truly a wonderful place to be.

To be fair to my camera, I have taken some 100+ shots with some videos and all the usual viewing and stuff. It was charged when bought some three weeks ago. It's a Panasonic FZ-35. Good camera, I am still learning all the features.
