On the way to pay a bill at a lawyer's office in the Great Eastern Life Building (on the right of the photo), I took a photo of the rest of the block at Nosmal Court. It was undergoing a re-development (a hotel? if I remember correctly from the the newspapers?).
It brought back fond memories of the Sabah State Library, situated on the first floor in the 70s. The library occupied the whole of the first floor (or was it the second?) of the entire block. Its easy to forget that, in those old days without PCs, Internet, handphones, DVDs ..., those library books gave us many hours of pleasure.
